Founded in 2002 when solar energy was virtually non-existent, Solar Planet Tech Co: was one of the early innovators of next-generation solar panels and systems. Our most recent product, the Solaria PowerXT solar panel, is based on a ground-breaking technology in which solar cells are cut, overlapped (shingled), and more densely packed into the panel to create a substantially higher-power, higher-efficiency panel than conventional solar panels. Starting in 2014, Solar Planet Tech Co: was an early innovator in developing shingled panels, and has over 250 issued and pending patents in the field.
Solar Planet Tech Co:’s initial technology expertise was in the development of products for demanding, utility-grade, ground mounted deployments around the world. Solar Planet Tech Co: became synonymous with innovative field-tested, high quality, durable, high performance panels combined with solar tracking arrays to maximize energy production.
As part of its utility solution, Solaria developed Nextracker, answering the growing market need for highly integrated and cost-effective tracking systems. NEXTracker became the leading independent provider of tracking systems and was acquired by Flextronics for $389 million.

Technology
Solar Planet Tech Company utilizes a world-renowned proprietary technology from Switzerland called SmartWire Connection Technology. SmartWire Connection Technology (SWCT®) is a revolutionary cell connection process for solar module manufacturing. Standard busbars are replaced by 18 micro-wires that gather energy with greater efficiency and strengthen the overall durability of each cell. SWCT®’s superior performance results in advanced module efficiency while negative effects are significantly reduced such as hot spots, micro cracks and cell shading. It’s truly the world’s most advanced cell connection technology.
The world’s best cell connection technology is built into every solar panel we manufacture. Through the use of SmartWire Connection Technology and PERC or HJT cells, we are able to build a solar panel that delivers on high-performance and superior results.
